It is with deep sadness that we share in the Ahern family sorrow at Dick’s passing.
It is with deep fondness that we will treasure memories of the times he spent with us.
And it is with sincere graditude that we thank Gail. Dick and the entire Ahern family for their generous love and support of your College, Holy Cross, and your teams, Men’s and Women’s Track and Cross Country. The Richard “Dick” Ahern Scholarships have helped many deserving student-athletes enjoy the same rich experiences that Dick valued at Holy Cross.
His establishment of the Richard “Dick” Ahern Track Coaching Chair has had a long term positive impact on the quality of mentorship provided to our track and field athletes.
Dick lived life to the fullest and his legacy will be one of a loyal Crusader leading us to the finish line. May he rest in peace knowing it was a race well run. Thanks for everything my friend
